Organization Profile

 

EYEMATES FOUNDATION FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT is a non-profit organization incorporated on February 21, 2025, under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, Government of India, to facilitate a wide range of social work activities. The idea of EYEMATES was first conceived in 2015 by Shiju John, a committed social worker with years of experience in community development. While working on a sanitation and water supply project in Kerala, he witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by social entrepreneurs in implementing sustainable and effective community initiatives. As a result, EYEMATES was established as a professional social work agency in April 2018 and was registered under the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, in 2020.

EYEMATES FOUNDATION collaborates with social work professionals to apply social work values, principles, and techniques in various areas, including helping individuals access essential services, counseling, and psychotherapy; assisting communities and groups in providing or improving social and health services; and participating in legislative processes to promote social welfare and development. Additionally, EYEMATES plans to contribute to research and collaborate with other organizations and institutions that share similar objectives, enhancing its impact and fostering innovation in the field of social work.

Services & Initiatives

  • NGO Support Services : Support with registration, compliance, documentation, proposal development and project implementation.
  • Counseling Services : Accessible mental health support through online platforms and in-person interventions.
  • Digital Utility Service : Enabling individuals and communities to confidently access, navigate and benefit from digital platforms and essential online services.
  • Capacity Building Programs : Training sessions, workshops, and skill-development initiatives for professionals and communities.
  • Community Outreach : Health promotion programs, support groups and structured volunteer engagement activities.
  • Research & Development : Policy studies, field research and institutional collaborations to advance social work practices.

Future Plans

  • Expand Counseling Services : Strengthen online and community-based mental health support to reach wider populations. 
  • Promote Community-Based Programs : Build social, emotional and family support systems through structured interventions.
  • Launch Geriatric Care Initiative : Provide holistic services for the elderly, including health, emotional, and social support.
  • Advance Digital Empowerment : Conduct digital literacy workshops, bridge the digital divide for vulnerable groups, and promote inclusive digital participation.
  • Establish a Research Wing : Generate insights, conduct policy analysis, and drive innovation in social work practices.
