Where Research Meets Compassionate Action

In a time when social, health, and humanitarian challenges continue to evolve, there is a growing need for innovative, community-rooted responses. The Eyemates Foundation, a nonprofit organization registered in India, was established to meet that need — by combining scientific research, community engagement, and professional social work into one focused mission: to uplift vulnerable communities with dignity and care.

Who We Are

Eyemates Foundation is a research and development-based nonprofit organization working across Kerala and beyond to support marginalized populations through structured programmes in:

  • Geriatric care and elderly empowerment
  • Community-based health and wellness initiatives
  • Capacity building for social sector professionals and students
  • Training and deployment of professional social workers

We are proud to collaborate with IUCDS (Inter University Centre for Disability Studies), Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Kottayam, to collaboratively plan and implement research, academic, and community-based programmes. This academic partnership strengthens both the theoretical and practical dimensions of our work, enriching our interventions with evidence-based strategies and institutional support.

Training, Research, and Capacity Building

One of our core priorities is to build professional capacity in the social development sector. We offer:

  • Field exposure and learning opportunities for students of social work and public health
  • Training workshops and certification programmes for community professionals
  • Collaborative research and pilot studies in rural and urban areas
  • Internship and volunteer placements for practical field learning

By equipping future social workers and practitioners with real-life skills, we aim to create a strong, informed, and compassionate workforce for the future.

Community-Based Health and Awareness Initiatives

In partnership with private and public health institutions, Eyemates Foundation organizes health screening camps, mental health awareness drives, and preventive care sessions, especially in underserved rural and semi-urban areas. These programmes support:

  • Early diagnosis and timely referral
  • Increased community awareness on wellness and entitlements
  • Better access to health schemes and insurance coverage
  • Grassroots-level health mobilization through trained volunteers

We prioritize inclusion, accessibility, and community participation in all health interventions.
