Connecting Future

Connecting Future - A Marathon Awareness Programme

Uniting Generations for a Sustaining able Future

Eyemates Foundation for Research and Development has launched “Connecting Future”, a community-driven marathon awareness programme designed to unite education, volunteerism, and social action. Running from October to March, the initiative engages colleges, schools, NSS units, NGOs, and local self-governments to address critical health, social, and developmental issues through sustained, collaborative interventions.

A Vision of Connection and Change

The programme envisions a society where young volunteers, community groups, and local institutions come together to create meaningful social impact. By linking educational institutions with the grassroots, Connecting Future strengthens the culture of service and compassion within communities.
Instead of one-time events, it focuses on continuous engagement—building trust, spreading awareness, and encouraging action on locally relevant social and health challenges.

Aims and Objectives

  • To organize thematic awareness and service programmes aligned with local and national priorities.
  • To encourage collective action involving youth, NGOs, and local bodies.
  • To empower communities through awareness on health, environment, education, and social development.
  • To strengthen partnerships among civil society organizations, institutions, and local self-governments.
  • To build a sustainable, replicable model for annual community engagement and documentation.

Implementation Framework

The programme is implemented through a structured five-step process:

1.    Planning & Orientation – Discussions with volunteers, partner institutions, and community representatives to identify key needs and focus areas.

2.    Activity Selection – Choosing the most suitable activity such as awareness campaigns, health check-ups, service drives, or educational sessions.

3.    Volunteer Engagement – Mobilizing community volunteers and NSS members for active participation.

4.    Reporting & Documentation – Collecting data, outcomes, and visual evidence to record impact.

5.    Monitoring & Support – Eyemates Foundation provides continuous coordination, supervision, and professional guidance to ensure quality and sustainability.

Expected Outputs

  • Regular community-based awareness and service activities conducted across different localities.
  • Active participation of volunteers, community groups, and partner institutions.
  • Improved outreach and accessibility of health, education, and welfare information.
  • Development of locally tailored awareness materials and documentation.

Expected Outcomes

  • Enhanced community awareness on preventive health, education, and social wellbeing.
  • Strengthened collaboration between NGOs, institutions, and local governments for social action.
  • Increased community participation in collective welfare initiatives.
  • Sustainable behavioural change among citizens towards health, hygiene, environment, and social responsibility.
  • Establishment of an ongoing model of community development replicable in future years.

Conclusion

The Connecting Future – Marathon Awareness Programme is a sustained movement for community transformation and empowerment. By bringing together the energy of volunteers, the support of NGOs, and the participation of local bodies, it fosters healthier, more informed, and socially responsible communities.
Through Connecting Future, Eyemates Foundation reaffirms its commitment to building a compassionate and sustainable future—one community at a time.
